HOMOEOPATHY FACTS AND MYTHS

Patients have many misconceptions about homoeopathy. As a practising homoeopath, it was time to dispel the myths and show my friends what Homoeopathy is. Let’s start with the most popular myth:

MYTH: Homoeopathy is slow and takes a long time to treat a condition.

FACT: Homoeopathy IS NOT a slow-moving system. Patients believe this myth because they have tried every other treatment before coming to a Homoeopath. By then, their complaint or disease has become chronic. Homoeopathy is a great option for chronic conditions and takes very little time to heal. However, it can also be used to treat acute conditions such as fevers, infections, and pain.

MYTH: Homoeopathic medicine is only placebos.

FACTS: All homoeopathic medicines undergo clinical trials on healthy subjects. The effects of the medicines are then recorded and observed. These clinical trials are carried out by homoeopathic institutions that have been recognized. The Central Council of Research in Homoeopathy is the regulating body. It monitors research and maintains a record of all trials. This question is best answered by the Central Council of Research in Homoeopathy.

Patients who have received Homoeopathic treatment can benefit from it.

MYTH: Homoeopathy can exacerbate the condition when it is first started.

FACTS: It is not always true. This happens in chronic cases, where the patient’s susceptibility to the chosen remedy causes an initial aggravation. The condition subsides as treatment continues.

MYTH: The hormones in homoeopathic medicines are steroids.

FACTS: No. Before they can send the medicine to their customers, homoeopathic medicines must be prepared according to strict guidelines.

MYTH: Homoeopathy can be used as an alternative to Surgery.

FACTS: Homoeopathic medicine can treat certain conditions such as Tonsillitis and gallstones. Every path has its limitations, and Homoeopathy doesn’t differ from any other. There are limitations and scopes in the treatment of surgical conditions.

MYTH: Homoeopathy is safe because self-medication has no side effects.

FACTS: Each patient is unique and a homoeopath will prescribe his medicine based on these symptoms. Side-effects of self-medicating with Homoeopathic medicine might occur. A Homoeopath is recommended for treatment.

MYTH: Diagnosis is not important in Homoeopathy.

FACTS: In Homoeopathic treatment, diagnosis is of paramount importance. A Homoeopath can use Diagnosis to help distinguish between the symptoms of the disease as well as the unusual symptoms. This helps the Homoeopathic physician choose the most appropriate Homoeopathic medicine.

MYTH: Dietary restrictions

FACTS: I recommend that patients not eat aromatic foods such as garlic, onion or tea. These foods can be eaten after the medicine has been taken. The homoeopathic medicines begin to work as soon as they are put in your mouth. Therefore, you mustn’t eat or drink anything during the 15 minutes between the medicine and its working.

Homoeopathy is good for the skin

In today’s world, who doesn’t desire flawless skin? Homoeopathic treatment is often sought by children and adults with skin problems. The skin is the largest organ in the body, and it also has many important functions. There are obvious ones: protection from chemicals, radiation, and microbes; maintaining a balanced inner environment by keeping us warm, preventing drying out; and feeling of touch in all its forms. The skin also has some less obvious functions. Subcutaneous fat, which is a major source of energy, is converted to vitamin D in the skin by ultra-violet radiation. Skin conditions can be caused by a variety of external and internal factors. If not addressed promptly, dermatological issues can lead to emotional, mental, and physical devastation. The worst thing for a person is their self-confidence. There are many options available for treating skin diseases, both Allopathic and conventional. Although they can provide temporary relief, antihistamine tablets and antibacterial medication are often not effective. It has been shown that many times the problem recurs after a while. These are some of the most common skin conditions that many people face:

ECZEMA – Also known as dermatitis or dermatitis, eczema can be referred to as a common form of skin disease. It causes excessive redness, itching, and dry and scaly skin eruptions. Although it can occur at any age, most commonly in children and infants.

PSORIASIS – This can also be in many forms, but all involve the appearance of reddening areas of skin that are covered with large, adherent, silvery scales. The main problem is an abnormally rapid division in the epidermis’ horny cells. This is most likely caused by inflammation, which is still unknown. Psoriasis is a common condition that runs in families. It usually develops in the late teens or early twenties. Some medications, such as antidepressant, antihypertensive, and antimalarial drugs and infections with streptococcus bacteria, can trigger it. Due to the skin’s appearance, severe Psoriasis can cause social embarrassment and job stress.

ACNE – Teenagers are most likely to have acne. This can lead to a lot of emotional distress and self-consciousness at a time when many teens are already very self-conscious. It is less common in other ages. Acne vulgaris is a form of acne that can be linked to androgens (male sex hormones) which are present in both girls and boys. It affects the face, but it may also appear elsewhere, including the chest, neck, upper back, shoulders, chest, shoulders and neck. Sebum is a natural oil that is produced by skin glands. The normal flow of sebum is through the skin’s follicle openings. It lubricates the skin and keeps it soft. Excessive sebum can block the follicles and harden into plugs in acne. The blocked follicles can lead to bacteria growth, which in turn causes inflammation in surrounding tissues.

DERMATITIS – A condition that causes skin inflammation, itching and redness called Dermatitis. Redness, swelling and itching are common signs.

Homoeopathy is a holistic treatment for skin diseases. This treatment works to eliminate any dermatological problems from your body, providing lasting relief. Homoeopathy is a holistic treatment of a disease.
